Paul T. Henley, PhD

You have reached Dr. Paul Henley's personal website on the world of education and its effects on American society and world culture.

Dr. Henley holds degrees from the University of South Dakota, Chadron State College and the Louisiana State University. He has taught K-12 and university students for over a decade. Most recently, he served as the Teaching and Learning Specialist for the Texas State Teachers Association, the state affiliate of the National Education Association.

While at TSTA, Dr. Henley served as the chief point person to the following entities:

Texas State Board of Education*
The State Board for Educator Certification
The Texas Education Agency
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
The State P-16 Council.





He was the staff person responsible for TSTA's teacher development and often presented on topics of interest to members. He was TSTA's primary liaison to the NEA's professional development personnel from other states and NEA headquarters in Washington, DC.

His writing includes research papers, white papers, magazine articles, blogs and policy "one-pagers" to help TSTA's legislative staff speak clearly to education issues to policy makers in Texas.
